With a chance to secure a spot in the NCAA Championship with a strong finish, the Marshall men's and women's cross country teams were unable to produce top-two team finishes at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.

Coming off nearly two weeks of rest after competing in the Conference USA Championship, the Marshall men's and women's cross country teams will run in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet Friday afternoon.

Running in the first meet of the postseason, the Marshall men's and women's cross country teams came up short against a strong field at the Conference USA Championship on Saturday at Eagle Point Cross Country Course.

Marshall cross country looks to end the 2013 season on a high note with the Conference USA Championships, in Denton, Texas, on Saturday morning.

In the final meet of the regular season, the Marshall men's cross country team finished first at the Evansville Invitational, while the women finished fourth as a team on Saturday at UE Cross Country Course.

With three meets already in the rear-view mirror, the Marshall men's and women's cross country teams are set for the Evansville Invitational, which serves as the final regular season meet of the fall.
