Marshall will send its best to compete in Philadelphia on Thursday and Friday at the 119th Penn Relays.

Sophomore Loren Dyer won the triple jump at the Heart of the Bluegrass Classic on Saturday and has been named Marshall's Student-Athlete of the Week.

Shanice Johnson is within .27 seconds of the Marshall 200 meters track and field record outdoors. She already owns the indoor mark, set back in February.

With a jump of 11.88 meters, sophomore Loren Dyer won the triple jump at the inaugural Heart of Bluegrass Classic on Saturday in Lexington, Ky.

Coming off a week where five school records were set, the Marshall track and field team will look for more success on Saturday at the Heart of the Bluegrass Track Classic in Lexington, Ky.

Marshall won't have its own track and field home until the new Indoor Athletic Facility opens for the 2014-15 school year. There is no question, however, that the Thundering Herd is making its mark in the sport, sans oval.
